Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year. We can’t wait to see our Dahl Pandas back on the first day of school, which is on Monday, August 16th. The first week of school from August 16th - 20th will be minimum days to help students with the transition back to in person schooling. With COVID regulations still in place, Dahl staff will be focusing on supporting the health, safety, and social-emotional well-being of all students and staff on campus. Below is additional information to help your family prepare for the start of the new school year.
CLASSROOM ASSIGNMENTS & COMMUNITY OUTDOOR FAIR: Classroom assignments for 21-22 will be
available on Friday, August 13th. Classroom assignments for all students will be posted on Friday,
August 13th from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. on the windows of the Dahl front office. As a COVID precaution, we will
have staggered times for this:
1:00 - 2:00 p.m. TK/Kindergarten and 1st grade
2:00 - 3:00 p.m. 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades
3:00 - 4:00 p.m. 5th and 6th grades
We will also have staff on hand to assist with finding your child’s classroom assignment, help you with
Company Nurse and Parent Square sign up, CORAL sign up, and other back to school items. If you have
children in multiple grade levels, please select one of the time slots listed to come and learn more to
prepare for the start of the new school year.
COMPANY NURSE: Before a student may enter campus for school each day, each
family must show proof of passing the daily health screening on Company Nurse. Please
use the QR code link to sign up for Company Nurse and select the Daily Reminders
feature when registering if you want daily text reminders of this. Because only one
phone number may be used per student, please show the same screen for each student
in the family provided that they all have the same answers based on the daily questions
in the screening.
PARENT SQUARE: This year FMSD is introducing Parent Square. This app/website will be your one stop
for all information. Visit https://www.parentsquare.com/signin to sign up for your account. Due to safety
protocols, visitors are not allowed on campus. Sign up for Parent Square as a way to keep in contact
with Dahl School and your child’s teacher. We will stop using REMIND at the end of the month.
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL: The first day of school will be on Monday, August 16th, which is also a
minimum day. Please see the Franklin McKinley School District (FMSD) calendar for more information.
SCHOOL HOURS: For the time being, due to the ongoing pandemic, we will have a staggered start time
based on grade level. Students will have a separate gate to enter onto campus based upon grade level.
Please see the signs on campus about which gate to go to and have the passing Company Nurse
screening ready to show your classroom teacher.
Grades TK-3rd at 8:00 a.m. Grades 4th - 6th at 8:15 a.m.
In the event that we are able to revert back to our 8:00 a.m. start time for all students, I will send out
messaging letting you know.

ATTENDANCE/ABSENCE NOTIFICATION: School Attendance is important to student learning. If you
know that your child will be absent, please call the Dahl School Front Office (408) 363-5650 to record the
absence by 9:00 a.m. We ask that you do not send sick students to school. If you have any questions
about attendance, please contact our front office at (408) 363-5650.
ARRIVAL/PICK-UP TIME: Safety is our first priority. Please do not send your child to school earlier than
their start time as there is no morning supervision until then. School office hours are from 7:30 a.m. –
4:00 p.m. Be sure to promptly pick up your child at the end of the school day as there is no after-school
supervision provided. If interested in the CORAL program, please call the CORAL front office at (408)
320-9206.
STUDENT DROP OFF/PICK-UP: To aid in less congestion in the parking lot, please make sure to use the
drive-through lane in the front parking lot for drop off and pick up. The staff parking lot is ONLY for
school staff to park. Please note that there is limited parking on site. At the back end of campus, there
is a walkway that students can be picked up from. Please note that this will only be open for afternoon
pick up/dismissal (it will not be open in the mornings due to our COVID check in procedures) and that
no parking is available in the back walkway as it is part of the neighborhood residential area.
SCHOOL BREAKFAST & LUNCH INFORMATION: For the 21-22 school year, meals are free for all
students. Each household must complete the Educational Benefit Form, you can do so at

can help you if you need a paper copy or need assistance in completing the form.

ngày 13 tháng 8 từ 1:00 - 4:00 chiều. trên cửa sổ của văn phòng Dahl. Để đề phòng COVID, chúng tôi sẽ
có những khoảng thời gian chênh lệch cho việc này:

THÔNG BÁO ĐI HỌC / VẮNG MẶT: Đi học là việc rất quan trọng đối với việc học của học sinh. Nếu

viên CHỈ dành cho nhân viên của trường đậu. Xin lưu ý rằng chỗ đậu xe trong khuôn viên có hạn.
Ở sau khuôn viên trường, có một lối đi bộ có thể đưa đón học sinh. Xin lưu ý rằng dịch vụ này sẽ
chỉ mở cửa khi tan trường buổi chiều (sẽ không mở cửa vào buổi sáng do thủ tục nhận vào phòng
học COVID của chúng tôi) và không có chỗ đậu xe ở lối đi sau vì nó là một phần ở của khu dân cư
lân cận .

Bienvenidos al nuevo año escolar 2021-2022. No podemos esperar a ver a nuestros Pandas Dahl de
regreso en el primer día de escuela, que es el lunes 16 de agosto. La primera semana de clases del 16 al

NOTIFICACIÓN DE ASISTENCIA/AUSENCIA: La Asistencia a la Escuela es importante para el

recoger. El estacionamiento para el personal es SOLO para el personal de la escuela. Tenga en cuenta
que hay estacionamiento limitado en la escuela. En la parte de atrás del campus hay una pasarela en
la que los estudiantes pueden ser recogidos. Tenga en cuenta que esto solo estará abierto para
recoger/despido por la tarde (no estará abierto por las mañanas debido a nuestros procedimientos de
registro COVID) y que no hay estacionamiento disponible en la pasarela trasera, ya que es parte del
área residencial del vecindario.
INFORMACIÓN SOBRE DESAYUNO/ALMUERZO ESCOLAR: Para el año escolar 21-22, las comidas
