TK is a fantastic program that builds confidence, positive social emotional adjustment, and a solid academic foundation for the youngest students in our CA public schools. The academic standards are similar to kindergarten, with the power or essential standards being mastery of letters and sounds, counting 0-21, recognizing numbers 0-21, basic shapes, and color identification. Students are also offered opportunities to exceed these goals and reach for higher standards such as beginning read.
