One of the biggest disappointments for students during the Winter Program is that they don't get to watch the students in other grades perform. The solution? Have a whole-school performance and sing-along!
On the last day of school before winter break, the entire school gathered together in the cafeteria for some musical fun. Mr. Dubin's GATE students began the performance with their carefully-rehearsed recorder pieces, followed by our youngest students, the TK-ers. First grade sang next, then second, third, fourth, and the combined fifth and sixth grades. The kindergarten classes were last, before everyone joined in for a rousing rendition of "Feliz Navidad." For a final treat, our wonderful PTA had candy canes ready for each class and every student. Yum!
