Dear Captain Jason M. Dahl Families,
The school year is progressing along.This month, we will celebrate the 100th day of school,

which is always a major milestone in the school year which typically has 180 days total. This year, we have a lot to celebrate in terms of the growth of our Dahl students. They all adapted and learned to use new technology rather quickly. They have learned to communicate and collaborate with one another online as well as manage their school work, home life and other responsibilities. At the same time, they have shown great resilience during this pandemic.I look forward to another month of new learning! Additionally, this month’s theme is motivation and we also have some fun activities related to fitness and health during this month’s Panda Hours and Assemblies.

February 15th - 19th:

In observance of the President’s Week Holidays, there will be no school from February 15th - February 19th. School will continue on Monday, February 22nd at 8:00 a.m. with our online Zoom classes.

Lexia:
All Dahl students should be completing their weekly Lexia minutes. The Lexia program helps students with their foundational reading skills. If you have questions about Lexia, please ask your child’s teacher. Next month, I will be sharing information on Dahl’s March Madness Lexia student contest.

Panda Hour:
We have Panda Hour every Monday at 1:00 p.m. for fun art and other activities for students.

Every Friday at 1:00 p.m., we also have our weekly Dahl Student of the Week ceremony to recognize the hard work that our student scholars have done.

Valentine’s Day Distribution:

This month, we will hold distribution days so that families can pick up all the student workbooks and textbooks for the remainder of the school year as well as a Valentine’s Day treat and jump ropes to participate in our Jump-a-thon at our Friday, February 12th Panda Assembly. Please see the dates and times for our Valentine’s Day Distribution:

Monday, February 8th from 10 am -12 pm Wednesday, February 10th from 1-3 pm Thursday, February 11th from 10 am -12 pm

If you are not able to make it during our distribution time, please call our front office and arrange a time for pick up.
