May is a busy (and yes, sometimes stressful) time at school.  State testing (CAASPP) started on April 29th and ends May 31st.  Happy Mother's Day to all our Moms & Guardians for all that you do! 

Our Fun Run was Thursday May 2nd. Thank you for all your support, the kids had a great time during the event.

Congratulations to Doreen Ogata and Carmen Lopez for being voted as the Certificated and Classified Staff Members of the Year. 

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. We will have a special kick off to the month on Friday, May 3rd with that being a Wellness Day. Something positive to try at home might be to make a gratitude jar.

The second week of May is dedicated to Staff Appreciation and we are fortunate to have such wonderful Dahl staff and Parent Engagement Group. Our Dahl Parent Engagement Group wanted to share our special staff appreciation week flyer with suggestions on activities to support the Dahl staff each day during the week of May 6th - 10th.

 The District Summer School Sign ups are happening now. Enroll early to get your first choice program. All K-6 programs will have arts enrichment provided by Starting Arts and/or Arts Educators and STEM enrichment provided by Marshmallow Minds and/or Schmahl Science. All students registered will be enrolled in a FMSD summer program, with placement confirmations going out by June 1st via paper letter, email, and Parent Square.
